ImageGuy – Quick Look – Sanyo Xacti VPC-CG20 (Review)

I might have found the solution to those “blogging” style cameras that claim they shoot HD video.

The problem with those type of cameras is they have a very low bit rate. Sure, they shoot HD video, but the bit rate is so low that videos look like shit anyway. What’s the point of that? And don’t even get me started on the tiny lenses on those camera and the fact they have no optical zoom. OK… Rant over!

Sanyo has a great solution for video bloggers with their Xacti VPC-CG20 camera/camcorder. You can read and watch my review over at All you need to make this a great video blogging set up is to add an audio recorder like the Zoom H1 and you’re going to be creating fantastic videos in no time.

ImageGuy – Zoom Q3HD Review & Comparison

I just posted an interesting review/comparison on

I wanted to see how the new Zoom Q3HD would compare to a Canon SD1400is (point & shoot camera) and a Zoom H2 (audio recorder). The Zoom Q3HD retails for $300 USD and the Canon SD1400is and Zoom H2 both retail for about $20 more ($320 USD for both SD1400 & H2).

The results are quite interesting.
